I've never actually seen a coyote near my house (they don't come near because of my dogs), but I hear them nearly every night during the summer. Sometimes I leave my window open when I go to sleep, and it's nice to listen to them howling. That is, until my dogs start barking and growling. I think they must hunt elsewhere during the wintertime, because we rarely hear them then.

coyotes are really cute and awsome, though I have only seen them once when I went to the minnesota zoo.

Regrettably, I've never seen a wild coyote. (A living wild coyote...I saw a dead one in the back of a guy's truck once...his hunting prize. :( )

I was camping once and on the way home I saw two dead coyotes tied to a fence. Yeah... :(

I`ve seen coyotes in my neighbourhood. Once when I was walking my dog, there was in the park. It just stopped, glared and then ran into the bush. Then another time one ran infront of the bus and into the park. And one was corned on the animal shelter`s steps once. It had mange and was starving to death it had to be humanely put down.

I love coyotes! They're awesomely cute

At the house I was born at, we lived next to this hill. Anyway, every morning if you woke up early there'd be deer and coyotes, quails, etc walking around on it. onetime I saw three coyotes howling in unison on the top of the hill(AWESOME!)

Next house I lived in, (a typical suburb) had a resident coyote. YOu could look out your window at night, and see a coyote just walk on by across your lawn. cool, but weird. It mauled all the cats on our street.....lol poor kitties, our neighbors left their cat out one night and the next day they found the head sitting in the backyard

Current house: No coyotes seen yet, although I just moved in like a month ago. I hike a lot on the trails nearby, and I've seen some deer and stuff in the nature preserve but no coyotes. :(

i love coyotes :) they are so cute and they look almost like wolves in my opinion.i would really really like to see one, even if this means to go from europe to US :P.By the way, what i don't understand is why people kill them.I read somewhere that over 400.000 are killed anually  .How can someone kill such beautiful animals?

because people consider them pests and the fact that they are "beautiful" (their pelts)

urghh...that is so bad,and i'm totally against this.Probably the same thing happened to tigers:the people thought ,,ah there is no problem in killing them, their pelts are lovely, and are enough tigers out there'' and look what happened now, there are more tigers in captivity than in the wild :(
