Wolf name doesn't save? Help?

Post by GoldenBeauty » Sun Nov 03, 2019 8:44 am

Haha yes, I'm asking a lot of questions. But anyway, when I change my wolf's name, it won't save when I open a saved file (basically my wolf still has her old name). Is there a way to fix this?

Try the steps provided below to see if the change goes through:
  1. In the wolf character editor, modify and rename your wolf.
  2. Save changes.
  3. Load the existing save file. (Manual or auto.)
  4. Save and overwrite the existing save file.
  5. Reload. Changes made to your wolf should now be applied.
This works for customization changes that aren't applied to an existing save, though I've not tested these steps with a rename. If it still works, you'll have to repeat this process each time you want to modify your wolf.

This topic is somewhat similar to the one you made where you kept trying to rename your wolf and you ended up with the old and new versions of the same wolf (black pelt but different names. I don't remember what the topic's called). I'd check to see if I'm playing the new wolf, not the old one, and if I am playing as the wolf with the new name, and I save the game and open it again and it's the old wolf's name again, you might have to delete both wolves old and new and completely remake the wolf. If this doesn't work, this could be a nasty bug you just discovered.
