Predators Gaining Health?

Post by katlove » Wed Jun 05, 2019 2:34 pm

Hello! I was wondering if coyotes (or any other thing like cougars or bears) will gain health if they kill a pup, or gain a "bite". I know their health will go up if they are eating a carcass though. Just wondering! Thanks!

Moved to Tips, Hints, and Help.

In the future, please post any game-related questions in the forum outlined above.

As for your question, I have not personally seen this (in that health is gained when pup is killed) happen with predators, but I could be missing something.

I don't think that predators can gain health in the game, at least I've never seen it happen. I might have to test it out at some point to be sure. As for them gaining health from killing pups, some predators quickly despawn after killing pups (they run away and despawn) so I don't think it is possible to test whether those predators gain health from doing so. I'd assume that they wouldn't because I doubt that the developers would have focused their attention on such a minor feature that would not have much impact on gameplay. Again, I've never tested this in the game, so I could be wrong, but to my knowledge, they don't. I hope this answers your question.
