Re: P Marks the Spot

I'm a little late getting to this, but I'm glad I did eventually! How exciting - new gameplay! I was a little concerned for a while, thinking I'd have to run around like mad attempting to boost the territory while various predators went marching off toward my den and I would be devouring any carcass...

Re: A Game for All Seasons

Oh, nice! Can't wait to run through the snow (particularly with the potential snow trenches later on - that just sounds so amazing). And also the hares changing colors and the elk migrating. I think I'll get overwhelmed in the best way.

Re: Falconry -- Hunting With a Bird of Prey

It's fine; there's no rush (unfortunately :| ). Thanks for the response! 1) Ah, varies by state. That makes sense. 2) That's good to know. Actually, one thing I forgot to ask; are there two years of studying required before you're allowed to get an apprentice permit (thus being able to get your fir...

Re: Most irritating animal misconceptions

- That lions are "the kings of the jungle" (despite their living in the savanna). - That cats are disloyal and don't care about you (oh, and will claw you to pieces). I know people have already mentioned cats, but I felt rather morally obligated to mention it  - That adult wolves have blue eyes...

Re: Slough Creek Rocks!

Those rocks are glorious! Little Butte has come so far. That color-scale on the rocks would make some nice coral reefs for FishQuest. I couldn't help but notice the Aurora Borealis in the background, as colorful as ever. I'm not sure I'll want to move my pups out of Slough Creek (until I see t...

Re: A Peek at Slough Creek

I didn't see this until a little later. How exciting, though! Funny how I can recognize bits of it, but I'll be going through completely unfamiliar areas (and possibly setting up a den there, too).

Re: When Your Wolf Sleeps...

I don't know, maybe it is a story. But I find it unlikely, since some dreams are pretty crazy and can't be realistic. That's true. Recently my wolf dreamed of two trees with mule deer climbing all over them. I was wondering if some of them were hints and some of them were mere entertainment. ...

Re: All the WQ Players Summed Up

I've been in many games where one of the players just stops right outside the rendezvous, and I always have to kick them out... Ack, I've run across those, too. By the time you're at the rendezvous site, you typically run out of food, so the pups are starving while that person figuratively dances a...

Re: Falconry -- Hunting With a Bird of Prey

Hopefully this thread is still active enough for me to learn a bit more. I've always had a deep fascination with falconry. I've done a good bit of research but sadly have not had the luck of being able to get a hawk for myself. It was nice to see a couple websites I had visited on there. I assume R...

They look great (particularly the "beaver of doom" wallpaper)! I'll have to decorate with them soon. :)

Re: Vote for a New Animal!

This is somewhat random, and I have nothing against porcupines, but why are so many people voting for them? It's right there in second place. Once more, that's not a complaint - I like porcupines with the rest of you. But I find it oddly popular. It would be fun and unique to see them (I don'...

Re: WQ 2.7: Low On Health But They Want My Pups!

^ That about sums it up. After you get a certain distance away from the den, the pups will go to the den automatically, so if you see a predator and can't fend it off, make haste!

Another thing - try to keep carcasses nearer to the den. It's easier to restock your health that way.
