Re: Remap Wolf Controls in WQ 3

Thx for the replies, I’m playing with a mouse now and it’s much easier than just trackpad. And yes, it would be nice to have that option in subsequent versions, for those not used to using a mouse etc. (:

Remap Wolf Controls in WQ 3

First off the game looks AMAZING and I love it! :D But, I was wondering if you can map the arrow keys to replace the steering function of the mouse (since I only have a trackpad) like the old game, instead of moving the wolf horizontally. When I map the arrow keys or D and A keys for "right turn" an...

Re: Ideas for New Episodes/Future Updates

I have a suggestion about sound tracking. The only means of finding prey is through scent, but wolves have really good hearing too, and there are so many animal sound effects in the game: elk bugle, coyote call, moose call, stranger wolf howl etc. Instead of having a sound compass, which I think I s...

Re: Bite Club: Refining the wolf fight

Woah, everything in this video looks 10x better than the one from just 3 weeks ago!! It really looks great :D

I wonder if your mate helps you in these fights, or if that depends on their personality?

Re: Stand Out From the Pack!

I know I have asked this before, but since you are remaking the original coats, could you *please* consider modelling the white coat after the Yellowstone wolf White Lady? She was one of the few white wolves to live in the park and would be an amazing example. I think she was shot some time ago afte...

Re: Playing Dead

I like the injury system but I don’t think it really fits as a penalty for death? I mean, your wolf wasn’t injured. Your wolf died. Why would you start again but with an injury? I think an injury system, if one is added in the future, would be better used realistically, when your wolf is injured in ...

Re: Playing Dead

Because people keep bringing up the 25% figure... it was just a suggestion. Instead of talking about how much you dislike it (and blowing off the whole idea because of it) it would be better to suggest an alternative you think would be more acceptable. I am gonna lower my original suggestion of 25%...

Re: Playing Dead

The thing with xp is losing 20% of it when your at 100,000xp you lose a bunch which would personally be annoying to me because I want to do risky thing with my wolf and if I survive then I get more xp but if I don't survive then I lose a bunch of xp which is frustrating. That’s true, but isn’t that...

Re: Playing Dead

I like the respawn distance concept. I know respawning some ways away might be frustrating, but maybe it should be- dying should be more of a big deal in the new game, like you said in the video. XP penalty is a good deterrent for the people who care about XP, but I feel like there really should be...

Re: Playing Dead

I wouldn’t make auto save less frequent because that could have unintended consequences (if someone’s game crashes and they can’t reload to a recent point, for example). IMO, an XP penalty may be the best disincentive. It’s like a currency in the game and the only thing that shows for your experienc...

Re: I'm the Boss...or Not

That’s really cool, I think it’s one of my favourite updates so far. :D Do you think, in the Slough creek arc when you have chosen a home, an neighbour pack will ever actively seek out and invade your den site?

Re: You Had Me at Playbow

I like the way that the info box of the dispersal wolf shows its coat colour. That’s a really clever graphic design. :) (I wonder, do you have someone who designs that kinda stuff for you?) The new game looks so amazing! I also can’t wait to see what unfriendly wolves are like. Will there be a way t...
